Inderdeep Singh (IDee) is a fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon in Amritsar. He specializes in Arthroscopic (key hole), minimally invasive orthopaedics surgeries including joint replacement and sports medicine. He has special interest in joint preservation surgery and limb reconstruction (Illizarov technique).
Education & Qualifications
He graduated (M.B.B.S) from India’s prestigious medical institute; Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute, Chennai. And completed his orthopaedic surgery residency (M.S orthopaedics) from Dr. Vasant Pawar Medical College, Nashik an affiliate of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.
Dr. IDee is a Diplomate of the National Board of Examination (DNB, Orthopaedics) and has also done M. Ch in orthopaedics.He is also a Member National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS)
Dr.IDee’s interest in arthroscopic surgeries developed right in beginning of his post-graduationdays where he did his thesis in “Arthroscopic Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction with Semitendinosus Autograft”. Taking it further, after his post-graduation he did a fellowship in Arthroscopy,Arthroplasty and Sports Medicine at Hospital of Joint Surgery, Rajkot, Gujarat. In2015, he was granted a fellowship in Arthroplasty (Joint replacement), Arthroscopy (Key Hole surgery) at Flinders University,Adelaide, Australia where he trained under Prof.Dr. Jegan Krishnan. Subsequently,to fine tune his skills he completed 1-yearpost-doctoral fellowship in Arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine at Ortho One orthopaedic Speciality center, Coimbatore,an affiliate of Dr. MGR Medical University. In view of taking care of elite athletes and post-surgeryrehabilitation, he also did a fellowship in Sports Rehabilitation.
Achievements
With his keen interest in academics. Inderdeep Singh has published articles in various journals on shoulder, knee, ankle and limb reconstruction topics. He has presented scientific papers and posters at various national and international orthopaedic meetings. He actively takes part in research and participates in the training orthopaedic post graduates.
Dr. IDee has been credited with describing a “Remnant envelope technique” for Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction, which helps in early return to sports. In his short span of time, he has performed various surgeries for first time in north of India and many athletes who were disheartened with their injuries has returned to sports after attaining their pre injury level.
Being a sports enthusiast himself. IDee is involved with care of sports person who sustains sports and ligament injuries so that they can return to sports as early as possible.

In his free time, Dr. IDee enjoys playing cricket, fitness training, travelling and spending time with his family.
